System And Method To Estimate Calorie Burn During Workouts
Filed · Intellectual property
Park-scale calorie estimation via facial recognition instead of wearables.
The application connects community-park cameras, user association, and walking-activity measurements to personalised calorie estimates. The related DLICP manuscript explicitly identifies application 202441050325.
DLICP reports a mean absolute error of 5.64 calories and mean percentage error of 1.96% against Apple Watch Series 6. These are results from the companion paper, not independent patent-validation results or direct metabolic measurements.
The design question is whether shared infrastructure can make fitness feedback more accessible. A practical service would also have to address participant consent, identity handling, and the conditions under which its estimates remain useful.
A walk becomes a fitness estimate.
DLICP uses face recognition to associate observations with a park user.
Conceptual workflow based on the DLICP study. No identity recognition or health measurement runs on this page.
